Black Dragon Seats was registered as a business in 2004 by Colin Steele.

Having experienced the difficulty of sitting for any length of time at floor level Colin designed and created a meditation stool (Registered Design # 332775, IP Australia).

From a simple and basic design it blossomed into a stool capable of offering 3 sitting heights and two classical meditation postures, i.e. cross-leg and kneeling.

What started as an exercise to overcome a personal challenge has developed into a commercial venture.
